FLIP TURN TIPS

What’s All the Hype?!

(Thanks to the Spencer Scarth, NAIA Head Coach at

Milligan University: abbreviated and edited by ACC)

“The most over-hyped recruiting day is, June 15th, the first day 2025

recruits can be contacted by D1/D2 coaches.”

Many recruits will be contacted but many more will not (yet).

WHAT does this mean for you? Should you panic? A RESOUNDING NO!

There are thousands of recruits, and very few coaches. They are working full time evaluating and watching the 2025’s finish

their LCM season. They are refining their list of potential recruits.

If you have not submitted your wish list to your advisor

(asked for in our initial paperwork )

Please send over to them to evaluate and let us reach out to your prospective schools for you!

You can still be incredibly successful even if you aren’t contacted that first day of contact:

This is a long journey, and we are here to help you put your best foot forward! Be patient and reach

out to your advisor with questions.

Remember to look at the conference championships (top 16 in the preliminaries in three events) to see where your present times fall in comparison to those results.

This is where coaches begin to look for their potential recruits.

ISCA & AMERICAN COLLEGE CONNECTION ARE PARTNERING UP!

ACC and ISCA (International Swim Coaches Association) are partnering to connect coaches from all over the world. ISCA has for the past several years has been hosting numerous high caliber swim meets across the country.

Many of our members do attend ISCA meets and we highly recommend that you look at bringing your team to one of their meets. ACC will be in attendance at future ISCA meets to answer questions and run a seminar about college recruiting, etc.

Below you will see the remaining summer meets schedule. If you have had trouble getting into the USA meets (Sectionals, Futures) you may want to check out ISCA. Doug Fonder (CEO/ISCA) is very accommodating to clubs and would love to have your team in attendance.
