Helping Athletes Become Creators

The NIL era is here…Front Office Sports, together with Facebook and Instagram, have created Athlete Marketing Essentials: NIL Certification, a free online course to help college athletic departments and athletes capitalize on this new era of collegiate athletics.

The course lineup includes Athletes as Creators, where industry experts discuss how athletes can build their brand, tell their story, and engage their fan base. The lesson, led by Rebecca Greenwell, Sports Partnerships at Facebook, includes a panel discussion with Selena Castillo from Duke Women’s Basketball and Jordon Rooney from Duquesne Basketball and Built Different Creative.

About The Course

Now that NCAA athletes can earn money off of their Name, Image and Likeness (NIL), the influence – and earning potential – of college athletes will extend from the field to their social feeds. It’s also an opportunity for universities to raise the bar on how they support incoming recruits and student athletes, showing them to be successful on social and monetize their personal brands.

Athlete Marketing Essentials: NIL Certification is a free online course where leaders from Facebook and Instagram break down the vast array of tools and services available for athletes to grow their audience, distribute content and generate meaningful revenue.

The six-lesson course will help college athletic departments and athletes capitalize on this new era of collegiate athletics. All course participants earn a digital verified badge they can display on their social channels, and also receive access to the Facebook and Instagram Safety Guide for Athletes as well as the College Athletes on Instagram & Facebook online hub.
